episode 16

================== ep. 16 summary ======================= .

HW takes ES home. HW says he had a great time. ES replies he should just go without coming out of the car.
just then SJ calls. ES says he should answer it. HW starts to tell her why he couldnt keep his date to 'dreaming forest' but ES cuts him off saying he already told her he was tied up w/ work and she understands.
then ES thx HW for a great day together. HW replies she was extra beatiful today and they part.

HW listens to SJ's voicemail saying she's leaving the hospital and wants him to come by. ES returns home and silently tells CH she's letting go of the necklace curse so he must live happier than anyone.
TM tells mr.kang and HW the bad news that global might be facing a forced overtake. mr. kang and HW are still optimistic about saving their company.
after TM leaves mr. kang tells HW's destiny must be SJ. HW replies he cannot give up ES under any circumstance and apologizes.

HW finds out ES left her resignation letter w/ JM. HW leaves a message on ES's cell asking her what's going on, then looks for ES everywhere.
mr.noh forces his way into mr.kang's office to tell him TM is the one who bought mr.yoon's share of stocks to destroy mr.yoon.
mr.yoon calls TM into his office.. slaps him and asks TM what his intentions are. TM acts innocent at first then speechless when mr.kang throw at him the evidence mr.noh gave him.

it's snowing.. HW goes back to the iceskating ring and thinks as he watches ppl skate the way him and ES did. ES arrives too and sees HW staring into space. ES hesitates about what to do..
then ES calls SJ to tell her she's kept her promise and she has a request. SJ thx her and says she'll listen to any request. ES instructs SJ to take good care of HW and if he ever gets his memory back just tell him it was all a dream.

TM picks up the paper mr.kang threw at him and says these paper dont amount to any real evidence againt what he spent 20 years preparing.
mr.kang asks why TM is being like this and TM reveals himself as sejinhwa's jung il-soo's heir… who lost his parents to suicide because of mr.kang's ruthless business practice.
HW gets a call from his mom saying mr.kang has fainted. TM still pretends to be innocent and stands by mr.kang's bed.
HW arrives and mom starts to blame HW for all this, saying ES had asked mr.kang a huge sum of money just to leave HW.

HW gets a message on his phone from ES, who says she had calculated all this from day 1 when she met him and he seemed like a prince to her. ES warHW to never again be conned by someone like her.
doc says mr.kang is stable for now but it may take a few days for him to regain his consiciousness. HJ arrives and blames HW for being born, causing the misfortunes of kang family. HW's mom pleads to stop the yelling.
JM calls her mom to tell her what's going on and tells her if ES returns just leave her alone.

TM's friend SG follows ES around under TM's instruction. ES gets a job working as a convenient store clerk.
meanwhile HW stands by his father's hospital bedside…
mr.noh gets in his car and is met by SG with a knife under noh's throat. noh asks if he's sent by TM but SG orders noh to start driving.

HW asks JM if she's heard from ES. JM advices HW to forget ES for his own good. HW asks JM if it were her could she so easily forget it all.. when the person you know suddenly changes overnight saying everything was a lie?
JM replies there's nothing she can say and since ES probably has her own reason the best thing HW can do is to go along with ES's decision. HW replies he has to meet ES and hear from her face to face even if everything was a lie.
SJ visits mr.kang and stays by his side so mz.park can rest. HW gets ready to drive to 'dreaming forest'..

ES looks around the street outside the store cuz she senses someone watching but finds nobody.
TM silently tells ES to wait for him and he will help her erase kang HW from her heart, as he watches ES from across the street.

HW's on the road to 'dreaming forest' but he gets a call from his mom and turns around to go to the hospital.
doc says mr.kang is conscious but it may be a while before he can speak or ever recover. HW rushes by his dad's bedside. mr.kang sees TM and starts to stare at TM.
TM and HW drink at the tent bar. HW tells TM until he speaks to ES in person he's not gonna believe anything. TM tells HW ES told him her goal was to get in global to look for someone, when TM first met her.

ES sees a guy tending to his gf's cut at the store and thinks about the time CH nurtured her cut…
HW goes to the place ES used to live w/ JM and cries… asking ES where she disappeared to.
meanwhile ES tells her 'i love you' stuffed animal not to ache anymore.

TM is alone at the hospital by mr.kang who cant move or say anything except to stare at TM. TM says it's too bad kang's gonna miss out on the glory tomorrow and leaves.
HW tries to go over all the numbers again before the company meeting. TM watches as the employees arrive at the meeting, including mr.noh who is being forced-escorted by SG.
the old teamlead tells JM a foreigh company may have more shares of stocks over mr.kang.

TM hosts the company meeting. a shareholder stands up to demand an explanation on why the company stock is dropping so fast and asks TM to clear up on the market rumor that a foreigh company will undertake global.
HW stands up to say w/ his dad's 10%, his 7%, and HJ's 4%, plus TM's shares their company is untouchable.
but TM says he's siding his 3.1% against kang.. then mr.noh says he's siding his 0.4% againt kang too.. and SG says he's siding his 0.6% against kang as well..
then mr. joo, TM's co-conspire, says he will throw in his 0.2% against kang as well.. which means kang family has less than the foreign company… HW cannot believe what he's hearing and loses his steadiness standing..
